Wills
Underpinning our Trust and Probate Department is our extensive experience of creating Wills and Powers of Attorney that meet the needs of modern clients. These are of particular importance when dealing with non-nuclear families or the old and frail. Where appropriate, full consideration is given to effective tax planning for estates.
If you want to be sure that your wishes will be carried out you must have a Will.
Lasting Powers of Attorney
This is a very important tool in managing the affairs of those who are frail or mentally infirm. It allows them to appoint the person of their choice which can include a firm of Solicitors to act for them if they cannot. In addition to property and financial matters, a person can delegate decisions affecting their personal welfare to include healthcare and treatment. The Lasting Power of Attorney has no legal standing until it is registered with the Office of Public Guardian but once registered can be used at any time whether the donor has the mental ability to act for themselves or not.
Probate
One of our main areas of work is dealing with Estates both large and small. We have extensive experience of dealing with such Estates. Harnessing new technology we are able to provide a fast, efficient but sensitive service for collecting in and administering Estate assets as quickly and as cost effectively as possible. Tax planning considerations are always at the heart of our strategy where appropriate. Our experience and professionalism can also be of great assistance in resolving family disputes when these occur.
